H5N1 Doesn’t Have to Be a Repeat of COVID’s “Public Health vs. the Economy”

As H5N1 bird flu circulates among animals and occasionally infects people, the challenge isn’t an inevitable catastrophe. It’s how we respond. Learning from COVID-19, we can build systems that let workers, industries, and communities act in ways that protect health without forcing a false trade-off between saving lives and sustaining livelihoods.
